Magnolia Inn

This project was completed at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and centers on the historic Magnolia Inn in Greensboro. In collaboration with the property owners, the class was tasked with designing a museum, cultural center, and hotel addition within the vacant area behind the Inn. The proposed three-story building was designed to support a range of gatherings, including events, exhibitions, and overnight stays. The first floor houses a flexible event space, the second floor serves as a museum highlighting Black travel history, the Green Book, and the legacy of the Magnolia House, and the third floor functions as a boutique hotel.
